He learnt that for him to run the business successfully, the farm first needs a large social network with the locals so that relationship will be built. For example, this farm in Spain went from being an unsuccessful cattle farm to one of the biggest fish suppliers into restaurants. The owner of this fish farm understood that in order to create and maintain a steady population of fish, they need to create a good environment for them to live in. Not only the environment, but also the quality of the food that they feed to the fish are better. Instead of feeding them with fish food, they feed them with shrimps, algae and planktons so that it is as if they are living in the wild. A successful environment chain is one where all animals work together to fight for survival. For example, the birds will be more healthy when the fishes are well fed. In this video, Dan is telling us that we should learn from the success of this fish farm to apply to our life. He is saying that in the real world, hunger is a serious issue and countries all around the world are using the wrong ways to solve the problem. There are many charities and counsels that offer food banks and food donations for the poor around the world. But the problem is they focus on so much to help the people outside of their community, they forget about those in their community. we need to stop the thought of feeding the whole world and start small by feeding our own community first. We need to get rid of large producing farm and replace it with small ones that puts quality over quantity. By changing our focus from international supplying to domestic feeding, we can slowly solve the problem of poverty.

I disagree with tiffany. I think this idea is very new for me. I used want to be a philanthropist, but when I had realized I have to have so much money, I decided to make more money first. Nowadays, so many people help poor people in the world, but we forget our own small community. This is how the presenter thinks about this issue. I disagree because I think there is a level we should think about it. Same people need more help and some people’s need is to improve their life stander. For example, if a person is so hungry and he almost die for it. What should we do? Still helping the people in their own communities? Like both of them are witting in the emergency room in hospital, should we help the closet one? No, I think help the one who has serious problem. The presenter tells us a very good idea, but I think there should be a condition which is people face to same problem.
